Calvary greetings!
Dearly beloved, Jesus was clear about what he expects believers to do. We must be doers of the word and not just hearers. It is God's will that we do his will. By so doing we bear fruits and shall be judged by what we have done.
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" Matthew 7 vs 24.
A sleeping Christian is a ceremonial believer. As soon as we receive Jesus we are instantly adopted as children of God. The Holy Spirit then comes to us to encourage us and to strengthen us and prepare us for the journey ahead.
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.…" John 14 vs 16
Therefore we must ask the Father for the grace to bear our cross and follow Christ. For Jesus said....
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me- Mathew 16 vs 24
As a believer you are mandated to preach the gospel. This is our call. The Kingdom of God is ever open to as many as are willing to work to the glory of God. We must speak about Jesus always.
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." - Mark 16 vs 15-16
